John Penotti has produced over forty ﬁlms and has been a prominent ﬁgure in the U.S. ﬁlm industry since his start working with legendary director Sidney Lumet (Network, Dog Day Afternoon). As the founding partner and president of GreeneStreet Films, his credits include the ﬁve-time Academy Award-nominated In the Bedroom, the #1 box office thriller Swimfan, the studio hit comedy Uptown Girls, and Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion. With SKE he has served as Executive Producer on the films Hell Or High Water and The Book of Henry, as well as the upcoming releases Brad’s Status, Going Places, and The Widow. In May of 2013, Mr. Penotti helped found Ivanhoe Pictures and is currently its President/CEO, shepherding the production of local-language films in Asia with newly-developing relationships worldwide. Besides establishing Ivanhoe’s four-year multi-picture co-financing pact with Fox International Pictures to produce local language films in India, Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan, Mr. Penotti orchestrated the company’s five-year co-financing deal with Blumhouse Productions and Phantom Films to make ten genre pictures in India. Mr. Penotti recently brokered Ivanhoe’s similar multi-year multi-picture arrangement with Blumhouse and Showbox Mediaplex, one of the largest distributors in Korea. In 2017, he officially merged SKE and Ivanhoe to form SK Global. Mr. Penotti recently relocated from New York City to Santa Monica, CA with his wife Sheryl and son Luca.
